Completed Green Ribbons
Here you can find everyone who has completed the Green Ribbon from 2011 to 2025. You can choose to sort the table to see who has taken the shortest route, who has made the most detours, who was the fastest, or where the Ribboners come from. You can also search for a specific name. (There is a lot of data displayed, so we recommend viewing it on a computer or at least a large screen.)
Now the summer’s Green Ribboners have been added to the list. Here’s a short summary of the summer of 2025:
🟢 A total of 110 participants started between 25 May and 20 August , and 78 of them made it all the way, which is a record! That means 71% completed the full distance, while 32 participants had to withdraw.
🟢 32 of the 78 finishers were women (41%), and 50 of the 78 (64%) went northbound, aiming for Treriksröset. One person even went both ways…
🟢 30 of the 78 were international participants (38%), and we can now congratulate the very first finishers from Estonia, Australia, Canada, Italy, and Iceland!
🟢 The journeys took between 24 and 90 days, adding up to a total of almost 13 years on the trail! On average, this summer’s participants hiked, ran (1), or biked (1) for 61 days.
🟢 In addition, the very first two Section Ribboners completed the entire stretch between Grövelsjön and Treriksröset this summer, in sections.. And many more have completed one or several stages during the season.
